Amongst Stringfields

I grew up as the main baby sitter for my 10 little cousins. My mom is the eldest of 5, each of her siblings had 3ish kids. My sister and I being the oldest of the group were the “leaders” of the kids table. With that being said, I can honestly say that my sister and I grew up to become pretty much babysitting professionals. Since I had so much experience watching kids I am lucky enough to say that I am well pretty versed in handling lots of things related to babies. Changing diapers, feeding, warming up bottles, putting babies down, knowing what’s safe for babies, knowing when they learn to stand, sit, walk, learn to eat regular food, I thought I had it down pretty well, until I went to go register for my own baby.

Walking down the aisles of a Buybuybaby, Babies R us or, Target can be quite daunting even if you know a lot about babies! Don’t get me wrong, I did a lot of research before I went to register for baby items but, I was still overwhelmed by the amount of selection there is available for every single product. There are so many brands crowding for space for one category, I could hardly figure out what the differences were between each product! As I registered from store to store things began to blend together and after a while everything just started to look the same! It all became a maze of colorful, bold baby products all shouting “Pick me! Pick me!”. There is a lot that goes into registering for your first baby, but to highlight on the big ticket pieces, “the gear” I spent lots of time reading reviews, comparing and analyzing what’s worth the expense and what’s not and below is an infographic of my absolutely favorite items from my registry. These are the items that I currently have right now in preparation for baby! I hope this helps serves as a guide of which items I liked best when compared against all others in the market based upon ratings & reviews from moms!

Pin-wheels, Peanuts & Games galore, I couldn’t have imagined a more whimsical co-ed carnival themed baby shower. I can’t thank my family enough for all the love that they showered our little family with!
